Repair Cafe Northside

Small appliances need fixing? And jewellery, ceramics/ glass, sewing repair , shoes, chairs, knives/garden tools sharpening…come to the Repair Café!

“I had a number of small appliances fixed by Arjen. My coffee bean and spice grinder, toaster and hairdryer are now all working again.” Quote from Sarah Millar.

Yes, Arjen and Ian, our repair café volunteers have the special tools and skills of getting into the innards of the appliances and adjusting a switch or cord or cleaning out all the debris. Lo and behold it is fixed! If it can’t be fixed, you might get a clearer idea of what next…

Bye bye landfill, less cost, continue to use your loved machine and huge help to the environment! There is much more….and more volunteers on hand…

The Repair Café Sydney North has been in operation since January 2016 under the auspices of the Permapatch Community Garden, the Willoughby Local Group of Permaculture Sydney North and the entire organisation of Permaculture Sydney North. The use of the hall is made available by the Chatswood South Uniting Church.

True to its name, we repair and we serve coffee/tea. Organic free trade coffee, tea and herbal tea accompanied by a selection of home-made goodies catering to special diets… gluten free, vegan and sugar free. Come for a cuppa even if you have nothing need fixing!

All free. Donations welcomed and appreciated
